Party Planners in Denver | French Market Inspired Baby Shower

We were so excited to throw Amber and Alex the most amazing and adorable baby shower. Amber has been a lead event planner with Save the Date Events for almost six years and brings an amazing set of unique design skills, uber detailed planning, and contagious excitement to our team.

We created a French Market inspired party, with delicious baguettes, fresh salads, and beautiful cheese displays. We paired these with lavender lemonade and fresh cucumber water. Plump berries sat in tiny colanders and the smell was lovely from the fresh lavender bunches that were placed around. The flawless work of our dear friend, Rachael from Intricate Icings, drew a tear from the guest of honor – seriously, the cakes were knock-outs!

Amber and Alex are enjoying this exciting time with their new baby boy, Harrison William Fairbanks who was born at 12:14pm on November 23, 2014. Congrats to the new family!

I am a wedding planner, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to hear that I tried to plan my pregnancy as well! I really wanted to have our kiddo to be born in the spring so that I could still take part in wedding season. My husband said this was not something that I could plan… little did he know, that my pregnancy came about exactly as planned! From the beginning, my husband wanted to leave the gender of the baby a surprise. Because I am such a planner, it took me a while to come around to the idea of being in-the-dark about whether we were having a boy or girl. In the end I am glad that we waited; it was a great moment to find out that we had a little girl! That being said, it was a huge challenge for Laura and Ann to do a unique gender neutral baby shower.
Ann and Laura created a party that was perfectly me. My mother-in-law spent 7 months hand quilting an AMAZING nursery rhyme quilt for baby Emma, it served as the inspiration for the whole party. Laura is a doctor and Ann is a computer specialist so planning a baby shower was not really in their wheelhouse. I was blown away by their thoughtful detail, great food, and fun non-cheesy games.
They made signs for the food that played perfectly with the nursery rhyme theme, had baby shower bingo (which was a big hit) and tested the guests knowledge of classic nursery rhymes with a fill in the blank game! Each guest took time to create a custom onesie or big for baby Emma. I think the one thing I will always remember about my shower is how genuinely happy everyone was, the funny stories, and the love that I felt for me and baby Emma. When I was looking through the amazing pictures from fabulous photographer and friend, Gina, I couldn’t help but notice all of the laughter and how happy everyone was.
I could not ask for a better group of people to celebrate my shower with. Laura and Ann pulled of a flawless baby shower. Special thank you to Gina, Jason + Gina Photographers for taking pictures and to Rachael of Intricate Icings for the amazing cake.
Emma Lynn Swanson was born on April 9, 2013. I can’t thank Ann and Laura enough for all their hard work, thoughtfulness and love.
For the record I think only three people over the 9 months thought that I was having a girl, everyone else was convinced it was going to be a boy. Just goes to show you that the world has amazing surprises in store for all of us!

Gabby from Save the Date Events had a baby!

We couldn’t have been happier for Gabby’s wonderful news that she was due with her first baby. Of course, throwing her shower was one of the first things on our mind!

Her adorable shower took place at the House of Common Tea house in downtown Denver. The overall style was elegant, soft, whimsical, and stylish incorporating gray pinstripes, tissue paper pom poms, elegant cream linens, and a touch of mercury glass. Her cake was a meld of pinstripes and pom poms along with a cute little banner at the top honoring baby Hudson.

And a side note – the last few pictures are of three wedding planners at a loss on how to cut a cake. The slices ended up being huge and there was cake all over the place! Needless to say, it was utter devastation…

A note from Gabby: Hudson Paul Greenleaf was born on December 22, 2012 to some very happy people! Jason and I are thrilled to have such a cute little boy – it may be a cliche, but there is honestly no greater love than the love between a mom and her child.

Party Planner in Denver | Luxury Baby Shower

We worked the hostess for two months to design and create this lovely baby shower in Denver. After analyzing so many details about the mom-to-be, we decided on a lime and fuchsia color scheme with subtle hints of leopard accents and a bit of bling.

We searched for the perfect designer fabric and settled on the gorgeous silk fuchsia and lime plaid fabric to create custom table runners. We used this pattern on the cake design as well. The place settings were gorgeous with custom menu cards, fuchsia napkins and a bling buckle accent with ribbon. Guest chairs were accented with vertical fuchsia chair ties. Guest went home with custom gift bags and OPI nail polish accented with leopard-print ribbon.

The guest of honor is a fitness fanatic so we wanted to keep the menu light but fun. We worked with the restaurant to create a lovely healthy appetizer display with fruit sushi, smoothie shooters and mini yogurt parfaits. For lunch, guests chose from a menu of healthy seafood salads and gourmet sandwiches.

The cake was an important design element for this Denver baby shower. Along with incorporating the pattern from our custom linens, the cake designer created a sugar figurine of the expectant mom! The hostess, guests and mom-to-be raved all day about this stunning cake.

Baby Shower Planner in Denver | Vintage Pink

We had a fabulous time planning and designing Summer’s baby shower at the Brown Palace Hotel in downtown Denver. The host hired us in August, about ten days prior the shower. We created the overall event design, booked vendors and pulled together all the details. We chose a girlie, vintage-inspired theme with pink and silver as the main colors. We also incorporated a few chandelier elements and used feathers to soften the look. The incredible ruffled flowers from Bella Fiori included peonies, garden roses and ranunculus arrangements in white milk glass vases. Guests loved our “Milk and Cookie Bar” complete with whole milk, chocolate milk and strawberry milk. The pink baby shower cakes from Slice Cake Studio received rave reviews for their fabulous taste and designs. Chair Covers and Linens created a gorgeous room with pink crush table linens and pink satin bows over white chair covers.

Thank you to Premium Digital Solutions for the fabulous professional pictures.

Baby Shower Planning in Denver

boy baby shower details

Aside from all the fabulous Colorado weddings we get to plan, we occasionally design and plan baby showers, bridal showers and bridesmaid brunches in Colorado. This baby shower was themed for a boy with simple whimsical zoo animals. We incorporated chocolate brown, baby blue and orange throughout all the details including the salad bar vases. The blue punch and matching cake from Lovely Confections completed the fun details for this Boulder baby shower.
