From the time we first started working with Neel and Namrata, some fifteen months before their eye-popping Hindu/Indian wedding, we knew were in for some fun. This delightful couple, as sweet and full of life as any we have worked with, were a joy from start to finish, and their wedding an enchanting mix of beautiful Hindu tradition and bright Bollywood-quality excitement.
Having spent a summer in Colorado interning, Neel and Nam knew they wanted a destination weeding in our beautiful state. But the venue had to be perfect – they wanted stunning mountain scenery, yet a venue reasonably accessible to Denver, and with close-in lodging so all their family and friends could relax nearby. They settled on two perfect choices – a ceremony and guest lodging at the Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park, with its charming meadow and mountain backdrop, and their reception at Wild Basin Lodge and Event Center in nearby Allenspark, which sits on the gorgeous North St. Vrain River with 14,000 ft Longs Peak in its sights.
Neel and Nam were able to use the Black Canyon Inn Pavilion as their mandap – which also protected everyone from a few summer showers that insisted on passing through. Guests were treated to a breakfast of coffee and samosas while the many preparations for the traditional ceremony were made – the Pavilion was awash with flowers, fruits, spices, incense, and lavish fabrics.
For their ceremony, Nam and her bridesmaids wore stunning saris of orange, red and gold, and Neel looked positively royal in his suit of gold and maroon.
