We were asked to help plan a dinner to honor hard-working employees at one of our client’s companies. They wanted to treat their employees and their significant others to a wonderful night of food and wine as a thank you for all the hard work they do. We came up with “A Night in Tuscany” theme because it is one of our client’s favorite places to vacation, not to mention the region’s fabulous food and wine. Custom wine bottles served as invitations and were hand-delivered to each guest’s home.
We wanted the guests to feel like they were sitting in a Tuscan garden with a few of their closest friends enjoying an authentic Italian dinner. For cocktail hour, guests indulged in a selection of passed Hors d’Oeuvres and enjoyed a blind wine tasting from a professional sommelier. Fresh potted herbs from Plum Sage and extra veggies and breads from Footers Catering made up the true farm-to-table centerpiece that sat on top of a vintage burlap and lace runner that brought in a touch of old world charm. The potted herbs not only smelled fantastic, but served as place cards. Guests took their seat and enjoyed a three course meal featuring squid ink pasta, Italian cioppino, and ricotta cheesecake. Each course was served with a hand-selected wine pairing that complimented the food perfectly. Guest enjoyed fantastic food and wine well into the evening. It was a true pleasure creating a little piece of Tuscany in Colorado!
